Resident Tom Rickard expressed his concern with the roads throughout the village, he offered help if needed as well as reassurance of other community members willing to help. Council noted the challenge of securing salt with the current shortage and will look into using the offered help if the weather continues to impact the village.

Contract Operator Mendoza provided updates on the water system. Notably the leaks that have been addressed seem to be allowing the plant to produce less water per day decrease from an average of 130,000 gallons down between 110,000 and 120,000 gallons. Also noted was turbidity issues caused by the cold weather. Lastly Operator Mendoza noted his contract expiring at the end of February and stated after the last meeting with the EPA and Owen and Ed that he would be willing to extend through May 23rd as the village searches for staffing.

Councilwoman Lenhart inquired with Operator Mendoza on leaks that have been chased and fixed recently also concerning the rational of decision making when it comes to spending money and managing decisions on water leaks. Operator Mendoza noted his concerns with the levels in the water tower and the extended plant run times. Operator Mendoza believes the leak issues are under control as the tower is holding levels. Councilman Best reassured that decisions need to run through Administrator Shock and not through group texts amongst council members.
