Mayor Bryan Shock called the September 12, 2019 Village of Attica Council meeting to order at 7:32 PM.
Roll Call: Nate Frisch, George Yakoubian, Justin VanAlstine, Louie Sanders, Ed Treft, and Kirk Stanfield

Approval of Warrants: Motion by Councilman Yakoubian, seconded by Councilman VanAlstine to approve the warrants for payment.Vote: 6-0. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: Motion by Councilman VanAlstine, seconded by Councilman Sanders to approve the minutes. Vote: 6-0. Motion carried.
Written & Oral Communication: Mayor Shock announced that Village Administrator Greg Martin would not be present, due to recent surgery.

Parks: Councilman Frisch announced that the Party in the Park will be 9/20 and 9/21. There will be kickball Friday, softball Saturday and a Poker Run on Saturday. One stop in the run is an actual old speakeasy in Bucyrus with optional tours. The event needs attendance to be successful, so he encouraged everyone to attend. Frisch also stated that he will need to locate some dirt to fill ruts at the ballpark that were created when the lights were fixed recently.

Finance & Rule: Cash balance of all funds $ 1,149,461.24. FO Michelle Gullett advised there is an upcoming Fiscal Officer Training session by the Auditor of State. She would like to attend; cost is $100. Motion by Councilman Frisch, seconded by Councilman Sanders to approve the cost of $100 for FO Gullett to attend training session. Vote: 6-0. Motion carried.

Councilman Frisch asked if we have heard anything on the grant for the Veterans Memorial Park. No word yet. Mayor Shock asked if the original deed was ever located. Frisch advised only a quit claim deed. Shock advised he may go see Charlene with SCRPC on Monday to check on the deed and any follow up on the grant.
